The "Implementing JAP's Consolidated Peacebuilding Strategy (2025–2030)" focuses on transforming violence in Uganda into peace through community-oriented initiatives. This includes organizing workshops that teach storytelling, launching digital campaigns to highlight positivity, and establishing Youth Resilience Hubs that provide vocational training. For example, by engaging youth in mural creation and theatre, the strategy aims to convey peace narratives effectively.
In addition, the strategy emphasizes strengthening community resilience through creative engagement. It involves recruiting local artists as Youth Peace Ambassadors and setting up Community Peace Clubs. These activities are intended to foster dialogue and partnerships, ultimately enhancing community solidarity. By conducting cultural exchange programs and peace festivals, the strategy encourages diversity and inclusion, thus reinforcing communal harmony.
Finally, the strategy seeks to establish community-based early warning systems to detect and mitigate violence.
